Random blabbering.

I wish we had the power to stop the time. But if that's possible, then we would live in 1000000 BC and not in 21st century haha. Im having 4 days holiday after finishing my final exam last Wednesday. Having holiday is always the best, no matter how short or long it is. Currently Im not in the mood of watching Korean dramas perhaps because none of them suits my preference. The last one I watched was Healer and I really love it. I've put The Girl Who Sees Smells on my list because it starts Yoochun (you know why) even I quite dislike his costar Shin Sekyung but let's try the first few episodes until we decide everything. Tohoshinki is also having their 10 years dome tour in Japan right now; how I wish I was there. I've persuaded my mom to allow me to watch them live in Japan but because I've watched JYJ in Hongkong last year, you know it failed on my first try. Im blabbering random things today; finally after a long time I feel like writing again. And next cdrama on my list is Cruel Romance by Chen Qiao En and Huang Xiao Ming. Just hope Im in the mood of watching drama again. Annyeong!

Movie review: Love Forecast

This movie is up on my list after I saw they casted Lee Seung Gi and Moon Chae Won as the main lead. Both of them have been one of my favorite OTP ever since they were paired in Brilliant Legacy. At first the title was Today's Love and as you know, Korean movie/drama often has lots of names until they fix it to the final one. Love Forecast was released around January 2015 so it's still kinda difficult if you want to find the eng sub version. Lee Seung Gi is Kang Junsu, an ordinary elementary school teacher who has been dumped lots of times by his girlfriends. Moon Chae Won as Kim Hyun Woo, a pretty and popular weather reporter who has been his bestfriend for 18 years. Junsu has always been around her, helping her when she was drunk or taking car of her household cores. Even his family considers her as their family member. In the other side, Hyun Woo dates her producer, acted by Lee Seo Jin, who is actually a married man. Im pretty confuse at first; in the movie they didnt state he has married but in the middle suddenly there's a scandal saying Hyun Woo entered a hotel with a married man. Actually Junsu has fallen in love with Hyun Woo since 18 years ago and he has confessed to her before but she said she didnt feel any vibe when she hugged him. So basically this is a movie with the concept two bestfriends dont realise that they are actually each other's soulmate and you can even guess how the ending will be. To be honest the story is very very ordinary; even I find it similar to a Taiwanese drama named In Time With You (I will review it when I have time) and I should say the Taiwanese version is muchhhhh better. Junsu is portrayed as her daddy long legs but I feel he didnt give his best performance. Many people anticipated this movie because it's the first movie for Lee Seung Gi and he acted with Moon Chae Won. I've read some reviews and most of them say this movie is rather flat and I have to agree with them. They tried to make jokes in some parts but it didnt pull out well. The progress of the story is also a bit weird; at the beginning mostly they tell about Hyun Woo dating his producer and in the middle suddenly she and Junsu agree to date each other but never state themselves as couple. If the main couple isnt them, I dont think I will watch the movie. The poster and teaser are actually very interesting but too bad they fail in the execution. But perhaps you can give it a try. Maybe we have different taste ㅋ
PS: In Time With You is VERY recommended. Starring Chen Bo Lin as Li Da Ren and Ariel Lin as Cheng You Qing.

Synopsis:
Weather reporter Kim Hyun-woo (Moon Chae-won) is known for her beauty and elegance on television, but off-screen, she drinks and swears a lot. Hyun-woo has been friends for 18 years with Kang Joon-soo (Lee Seung-gi), a mild-mannered elementary school teacher who gives too much of himself in his relationships but always ends up getting dumped. Joon-soo has secretly loved Hyun-woo for years, but she claims she doesn't feel any sexual attraction between them, and he's had to stand by and watch while she fawns over married colleague Dong-jin (Lee Seo-jin) and goes on a blind date with nice but boring photographer Andrew (Jung Joon-young). Drama review: 千金女賊 (Lady and The Liar)

I've been watching cdramas lately. This time it's Lady and The Liar starring Tang Yan and Hawick Lau as the leads. I've set my eyes to this drama since last year because of the intriguing trailer and also if you follow chinese entertainment news, you would know that Tang Yan is Yangmi's bestfriend and Hawick is Yangmi's husband so Im really curious how it will turn out to see her bestfriend acting with her husband. Background set is Shanghai in 1930s and Tang Yan acts as Jiang Xin, a street magician similar to her father (who is mute). Hawick is Bai Zheng Qing, known as Bai Lang which means white wolf. He is a well known gangster in Shanghai. Their first meeting wasnt great where she saved him with her magic show when he was about to be killed by his own brother. Since then he likes her, but turns out she has a fiancee and rejects him. One day, she finds out the truth that she's a daughter of a rich family in Tianjin. On her way to meet her biological parents, she had an accident causing her evil friend able to change her identity and becomes a rich heiress. Bai Lang who knows about the accident searches throughout the hospital because only a few people survive from the accident and finds Jiang Xin suffering from amnesia. He decides to lie saying she is his fiancee and everything continues on and on. A man who sacrifices anything for his love and then her friend who is a thief trying to take everything from her life, this drama has attracted me since the very first time. I like Hawick, and his style here is even far way better than he was in Sheng Xia Wan Qing Tian. He portrays the character very well; white wolf is said to be a very loyal one which only loves one partner for its whole life and this analogy works well with Bai Lang. He is willing to sacrifice anything for Jiang Xin although sometimes I find it a bit ridiculous. Tang Yan couldnt have been a better leading lady for him; she is awesome. At first I felt it really weird to see them acting together considering about their relationship but it turns out to be so good. She's very suitable portraying Jiang Xin who is a tough and pretty woman; the most important thing is the emotion delivers well to the audience. The thief, Du Xiao Han, is the one I hate the most because she is sooooo evil although that means she succeeds in portraying her character. This is a 46-episode drama and they air 3 episodes per day so it ended pretty fast. Few episodes to the end was such a waste; it's a bit draggy but thankfully it didnt decrease my interest about the story. If you can read and understand Chinese, it's a very big advantage because you can watch the unsub episodes directly from youtube but if you dont then you need to wait for the sub version which sometimes can take a reallyyyyy long time for them to sub an episode. Overall this one is very good and recommended one, and now Im waiting for two of Qiao En's dramas to air!

Drama review: Healer

Healer finally satisfied my craving for a good kdrama. This 20-episode drama ended last week but I didnt have time to make a review as soon as I finished watching it. First time watching a drama with ji Chang Wook as the lead, Im really happy that he reached my expectation and definitely the most suitable one to act as Healer. Park Minyoung acts as his lover here, and to be honest she's not my favorite actress but she changed all my perception towards her through this character. Healer is a person who is known as a night courier; he works for money as his goal is to buy an island in South Pacific. Anything as long as it doesnt kill or harm other people. He works with a genius programmer ajuhma and she's the one who helps him in doing his jobs. No one knows who Healer is; he is good at changing names and personalities. Fighting is one of his best abilities and that's also why he becomes the fugitive. Park Minyoung is Chae Young Shin, an entertainment news reporter in an online website and she tries hard to make a hit through her article. She has a childhood trauma which makes her couldnt talk in the past. Met him for the first time because an agent requested Healer to get something from her, she adores him because of his mysterious personality. The drama also involves the mystery from 20 years ago connecting Healer (his real name is Seo Jung Hoo) and Young Shin and also the reasons of their parents' death. JCW did an awesome job portraying Healer; he can be serious at one time and then becomes hilarious in the next time. No doubt this drama needs stuntman because its genre is action romance and involves lots of jumping from one rooftop to another. I still remembered before this drama premiered and they released official pics; I was confused why JCW needed to wear those costumes and jumped here and there. It was all answered after I watched the first episode. Park Minyoung is also an exception. I never really liked her in her previous dramas because she was just a mediocre. Im surprised to find out she cut her hair short for this drama and it really changed her image. Maybe this is what called as "the right time with the right person" because I think the character is very ordinary but she is able to pull it out. Two other characters I love are programmer ajuhma and Young Shin's adopt father. Ajuhma is always able to hack everything and gives every information to Healer and the most awesome thing is how fast she can work. As for Youngshin's father, I like his warm and kind personality. I cried when he and Youngshin flashed back to the time he met her in the orphanage and she still didnt talk to anyone. He tried very hard to make her like him but in an unusual way where he came to the orphanage everyday and talked to her without asking her to response. So he just talked about his stories everyday till Youngshin opened her heart to him. This really touched me. It was pretty disappointed they got low ratings despite their huge international popularity. Nowadays rating doesnt summarise about a drama or reality show as you can see in Running Man too. This drama is very recommended if you like something fresh and out of the box; totally awesome. Ah now I miss this drama again.

Drama review: 恋恋不忘 (Loving, Never Forgetting)

It's been a long time since the last time I reviewed a drama and this time it's a cdrama. Actually sometimes I prefer cdrama to tdrama, mainly because they have a wide range of genres where tdrama is too typical and mostly have a similar storyline. Another thing is cdrama always gives a longer trailer, usually about 15 minutes which let us know more about the drama. Loving Never Forgetting has ended few months ago and starred Jerry Yan and Tong Liya as the main leads. Jerry as Li Zhong Mou, a successful businessman with a cold heart and has no father. Tong Liya as Wu Tong, an ordinary woman who has a child from Zhong Mou as a result of their one night stand 5 years ago but at that time she's just like another girl in his life and he didnt even recognise her. As if it's already fated, he met his child, Wu Tong Tong, in an accident without knowing the truth and Tong Tong needed a blood transfusion. After realising the truth, he requested for a custody to take care of Tong Tong since he didnt want Tong Tong to be like him, growing without a father's love. Besides, his mom kept persuading him to get married as soon as possible. Basically the story flows from the custody and some problems, until then he realised he has fallen for Wu Tong where actually Wu Tong still love him like how she used to be 5 years ago. I have put this drama on my list ever since I saw the news of it a few months ago and if you watch cdrama regularly you know that they usually air 2-3 episodes per day and the drama ends pretty fast unlike kdrama which only airs 2 episodes per week. Based on my search, they said this drama's genre is 孽恋 (nie lian) which means tortured love where it involves screaming, pulling, pushing, angry kissing, and something like that. Aside from that, Jerry Yan and Tong Liya are probably my main reason why I decided to watch this drama. Everybody knows Jerry because of his mega popular character Dao Ming Se in Meteor Garden, but he's not my favorite. I just dont like him, either his hairstyle or his character. Once I saw him in this poster, I know that I would like him and yes I did. He suits perfectly as Li Zhong Mou and everything about him here is soooooooo lovable. If you remember Tong Liya, she's Yang Mi bestfriend in Gong (Jade Palace Lock Heart) which shot Yang Mi to stardom. She is gorgeous, and together with Jerry they make a really cute couple with strong chemistry. Both of them drive my emotion up and down, at first they hate each other and then they are really sweet together. Too bad Tong Liya has married last year which make my OTP shipping fails TT I really recommended this one because you wont see the lovey dovey cute scenes, as from the beginning it has been tense and how he realised he loves her is very natural. It tells more about a family, not only about the couple. It's even better if you understand chinese because cdrama rarely get subbed where actually you can find the complete episodes in raw version in youtube.
