Bali.

So last week I went to Bali before the school starts. I spent 4d3n night and met up with my friends who worked in Bali. This was my second time being there; the first was in 2012. Bali really amazed me; it's in Indonesia yet the atmosphere was so different with any other cities in this country. In Bali most people practices Hinduism and I like it there because they are so religious but in the same time they are very open minded. I think 90% of the tourists are Western people and they accept them very well. They have lots of beaches in Bali; you'll never get bored of it. I went to many places during my stay there: Monkey Forest, Pandawa Beach, Kuta Beach, Pura Uluwatu, Ayana Resort, etc. These photos summed up my trip.
PS: All photos are taken by me.

Drama review: Oh My Ghostess.

These days Im not in the mood of doing a drama review but this drama is totally worth the time. I watched Oh My Ghostess (오 나의 귀신님) not because it's already on my drama list, but because Im bored and have nothing to do at that time. This drama stars Park Bo Young as Na Bongsun, an assistant chef who is very introvert and can see ghosts, and Jo Jung Suk as Kang Sunwoo, a celebrity chef who is the owner of the restaurant Bongsun works at. No doubt Park Bo Young is a really talented actress and Jo Jung Suk is one of my favorite actor because he can portray each different character very well. Bongsun was bullied in her high school since she can see ghosts and that makes her an introvert person. She cant get enough sleep; this makes her always feel sleepy when she's working in the kitchen. She has liked Chef since a long time ago and always looked at him secretly. Chef is someone who was also bullied in his high school and he is strict to Bongsun because she reminded him of his gloomy days back then. Kim Seulgi as Shin Soon Ae is a ghost who has been lingering in the world for almost three years; she thought she had a virgin grudge that's why she kept trying to find man who wanted to do "that" with her. At first Soon Ae possessed Bongsun without her permission, but later on when Bongsun saw Chef with another girl, she told Soon Ae to help her becoming Chef's woman. Soon Ae is a hyper one and she keeps asking Chef to sleep with her. Chef is confuse at first but the starts to like Bongsun too. Problem comes when Bongsun tells Chef that actually the one he likes is not her but the ghost Soon Ae. There's also Im Joo Hwan as Choi Sung Jae, a policeman who is also Chef's brother in law. Then we found out that the reason why Soon Ae is still lingering in the human world is not because of her virgin grudge, but it has something to do with the policeman. I can say this is also my favorite drama this year, besides Healer which aired earlier this year. Oh My Ghostess is Park Bo Young's comeback drama after seven years; everybody has a high expectation towards this drama and she did it. I never disappointed with her because she chooses her project wisely and most of her works I watched are always good. I dont have much comment for Jo Jung Suk; I looooove his paring with Park Bo Young so so so much. Too bad he's taken that's why I cant ship him with Boyoung T^T Now Im going to review the four main characters.

Park Bo Young as assistant chef Na Bongsun
She is a timid girl who always says sorry all the time. Her ability to see ghosts comes from her grandma who is a shaman. She has liked chef since a long time and she knows it's impossible for Chef to like her with her current personality. That's why she told Soon Ae to possess her because she knows Soon Ae is aggressive and it's possible for him to like her. I think Park Bo Young has achieves another milestone of her carreer; she portrayed both characters really well. She is aggressive and uses a high pitch voice when she acts as Soon Ae possessing Bongsun's body and she becomes very timid and introvert when she acts as Bongsun.

Jo Jung Suk as Chef Kang Sun Woo
He is very popular and has his own cooking show on tv. At first he had a crush with his bestfriend but later on he started to like Bongsun. It was Soon Ae in Bongsun's body but in the end he realised the one he liked is the real Bongsun. He's the type who cant show affection very well but when he cares about someone, he gives it all out. He's very protective to Bongsun and gets jealous over all men who gets close to her. Never admitting his own mistakes, he always apologizes in a cute way. Jo Jung Suk is the perfect actor to act as Sunwoo; he knows when he should be strict in the kitchen and when he should act cute. I like him.

Kim Seulgi as ghost Shin Soon Ae
She keeps possessing people because she wants to solve her grudge and goes to another world. When she was alive, she was a restaurant owner's daughter and she lived happily. Had a crush toward Choi Sungjae, she was surprised when Bongsun told her to possess her body. Later on she will like Chef but she knows it's impossible. She lost her memory that's why she's still in human world and couldnt resolve her grudge. As the story goes on, she knows that her grudge is not a virgin grudge but because she suddenly died she couldnt go to another world. Her death was revealed to be related to Choi Sungjae. This is my first time to watch Kim Seulgi acting and she's quite cute. She has a chemistry with Park Bo Young which makes them easier to act each other's character.

Im Joo Hwan as Choi Sung Jae
He is the mysterious one in this drama. Abused in his younger days, he grew up to be having dual personalities. He's a loving husband to Eun Hee, Chef's younger sister who is paralysed. Most of the time he visited Soon Ae's father restaurant even though it's not crowded anymore like it used to be. Turned out he was connected to Soon Ae's death. This is probably Im Joo Hwan's breakthrough acting. He was dealing with two personalities here, good and bad. He can portray both sides just with his eyes. He changes his way of looking and tada he looks damn scary for me. I just feel a bit disappointed how they execute the end of the story for him.

To be very honest, at first I was surprised how this drama did very good. It even passed the 5% rating which was very high number for a cable tv drama. Thanks to all the great casts, storyline, and teamworks. In the middle of the story, Im afraid they'll ruin it since it's the time when Bongsun confessed to Chef that she was possessed by a ghost but they executed it very well. They should have given more time to Chef and real Bongsun because the time when Chef liked her was mostly with Soon Ae possessing her body. Not to mention all those kissing scenes!! It is Park Bo Young's first on screen kiss and she is reallyyyyyyy good. Im so satisfied with the kiss scenes; they kiss a lot and they really kiss ok not just putting into each other lips lol This drama is highly recommended! I hope Park Bo Young and Jo Jung Suk will have another project together again ;;___;;

Rate: 8.5/10

Synopsis:
Na Bong-sun has an extremely timid personality and low self-esteem, doesn't have any close friends, and is constantly getting reprimanded at her job as an assistant chef at Sun Restaurant. She also occasionally sees ghosts, thanks to a shaman grandmother. One day, Bong-sun gets possessed by a lustful virgin ghost named Shin Soon-ae. To make up for the lack of romance in her short life and believing that only by losing her virginity will she be able to "resolve her grudge" and move on to the afterlife, Soon-ae is determined to seduce as many men as she can by possessing various women, and she finds the perfect vessel in Bong-sun. Bong-sun's boss is arrogant star chef Kang Sun-woo, whom she secretly has a crush on. Sun-woo hasn't dated anyone since getting his heart broken by his college friend Lee So-hyung, who's now a TV producer. But when Bong-sun seemingly gets rid of her shyness and suddenly changes into a confident, dynamic woman, she finally catches his eye. Meanwhile, the mystery surrounding Soon-ae's death involves Sun-woo's brother-in-law, kindly police officer Choi Sung-jae who may not be what he seems.

These two sweeties ♥

RI70.

Today is Indonesia's Independence Day and we celebrate for the 70th this year. I and my friends decided to go on hiking (yes we're not expert yet) to catch up the sunrise. We went to Gunung Api Purba Nglanggeran at 4am from the city centre and it took around an hour to arrive there. After that we needed to walk (or climb) to the top of the mountain for almost an hour. Too bad we couldnt catch up the sunrise because we went up too late and in the end we climbed to the wrong peak lol However it's still an amazing experience for me since this was my first time to climb that kind of mountain with my friends and we took lots of pictures with the national flag. Happy 70th Independence Day Indonesia!

Exam has finished, holiday starts again!

Yesterday I went to Borobudur with the girls since one of my friend from Medan came. We arrived there around noon and it was incredibly hot. This is my third time being in Borobudur and this place still amazed me. We took lots of pictures and made funny videos; of course I wont post the video here lol Borobudur has the largest and most complete ensemble of Buddhist reliefs in the world. It's always very crowded as it's the most visited tourist attraction in Indonesia. It's still used during Vesakh Day celebration every year; we can also see lots of Buddhists from all around the world come here to celebrate.

Holiday - The End.

Im back again to blog! Yes, I've arrived in my hometown 2 weeks ago but I need to prepare for my exam so I didnt have the time to post anything here. I've just finished my exam today and I still have one week holiday before the school starts. I'll be in my fourth year now and I hope I can pass all the exams smoothly so I can graduate according to the schedule. My holiday this time was the best one ever. I travelled to four countries: France (Paris), Hungary (Budapest), Czech Republic (Prague), and Austria (Vienna). Paris has been my dream place since I was a kid and finally I can go to this beautiful city. Budapest, Prague, and Vienna are so different even though they are close to each other geographically. Last month in Budapest has also been a wonderful one for me; I have done lots of things which I think I wont be able to do it in the past. I thought I wouldnt miss Budapest after I left but I was wrong; I miss Budapest a lot T^T I miss the times where I can walk around the city, drink and sit in the Liberty Bridge, go shopping whenever I want to, talk to my roommates, eat pizza at the metro station, etc. Thank you June and July for being so good to me and see you next time Europe!

I miss you Budapest.
