Healthy lifestyle.

Hi! Today I'll share some diet tips I've been doing for the past few days and because of this I've lost about 1kg this week. This is only a personal opinion so if you think this is not good then dont do it. Im thinking of cutting some of my weight because my BMI is only a few more points to the overweight category for Asian people which is >22.9.

What is BMI?
Body mass index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to adult men and women. There are lots of BMI calculator in google but you can count it manually.

So to maintain my weight and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, I try to adapt a healthy lifestyle starting from last week. Diet doesnt mean you dont eat anything at all because if you lose too much weight suddenly, you will suffer from yoyo effect (Basal Metabolic Rate back to normal after 4 months). It's the best to lose weight gradually so it will stay for a long time.

What I eat during the day:
Morning: white bread with kaya jam, 2 bananas
Mid-morning: If I feel hungry, I eat 1-2 bananas
Lunch: Aglio olio pasta (homemade) or white bread with kaya jam or steamed chicken
Mid-day: Hungry? 1-2 bananas again
Dinner: Normally I dont eat dinner
I drink a lot of water during the day. From what I read, pasta is better than rice because of the high-fibre carbs while rice contains lots of carbs. If there's no bread, you can change it to whole-grain bread. Bananas also help in maintaining a good digestion for people who suffers from constipation. It's also important to reduce fried foods since it contains lot of fats.

Here's some explanation of fibre. (source: www.nhs.uk)
Soluble fibre
Soluble fibre can be digested by your body. It may help to reduce the amount of cholesterol in your blood. If you have constipation, gradually increasing sources of soluble fibre – such as fruit and vegetables, oats and golden linseeds – can help soften your stools and make them easier to pass.
Foods that contain soluble fibre include:
  • oats, barley and rye
  • fruit, such as bananas and apples
  • root vegetables, such as carrots and potatoes
  • golden linseeds
Insoluble fibre Insoluble fibre can't be digested. It passes through your gut without being broken down and helps other foods move through your digestive system more easily. Insoluble fibre keeps your bowels healthy and helps to prevent digestive problems. If you have diarrhoea, you should limit the amount of insoluble fibre in your diet.
Good sources of insoluble fibre include:
  • wholemeal bread
  • bran
  • cereals
  • nuts and seeds (except golden linseeds)
Eating foods high in fibre will help you feel fuller for longer. This may help if you are trying to lose weight.
If you need to increase your fibre intake, it's important that you do so gradually. A sudden increase may make you produce more wind (flatulence), leave you feeling bloated and cause stomach cramps.
It's also important to make sure you drink plenty of fluid. You should drink approximately 1.2 litres (six to eight glasses) of fluid a day, or more while exercising or when it's hot.

Hope all of these help and let's have a healthy lifestyle!

Song Triplets.

These three babies have definitely taken my heart! Song Daehan, Song Minguk, and Song Manse. If you call them together, it will be Daehan Minguk Manse 대한 민국 만세 which means "Long Live the Republic of Korea". Their father, Song Il Gook, is a Korean actor and these babies star in Superman Is Back Season 2. I've recapped the show previously when it starred Haru, Sarang, twins Seoun and Seojun, Junwoo and Junsu in the early episodes. I stopped watching it for a while but then the Song Triplets are very famous since they appear on the show and I decide to watch it again. Sarang and the twins are still on the show while Haru, Junwoo, and Junsu have left the show and being replaced by the triplets and also Jion. I always have a thing for twins; that's why I like the twins and triplets more than other although haru is my favorite. Considering Haru as the most considerate child I've ever know, Im taken aback when I see this triplets; they are way more considerate than Haru is! They are just 3 years old but they take care of each other very well. When one of them is scared of something, the other will calm him down and saying "it's not scary at all." They always go to their own chair when it's the time to eat; they climb themselves to the chair and sit properly, singing along and waiting for the food without nagging. After eating they put the dishes to the sink and even clean their tables. I dont think 3yo kids these days do those things themselves. There's also the reflection chair which I like the most from the father's way to educate the children. When one of them makes mistakes, he tell him to bring his own chair, go to their bedroom, and face the wall for 5 minutes to reflect their mistakes. You would think it's not effective for kids, but they did it and it was a success. Twins is always cute but we know it's hard to raise the twins and this is even triplets. Here I cant even choose who is my favorite; all of them are cuteness overload. The Song triplets part is very recommended and sometimes I just watch the parts where they appear in the show xD

Variety show review: Roommate Season 2

I got to watch this show because of my friend's recommendation. I didnt watch the first season so Im a bit confused at the beginning. Twelve celebrities live together in one house with sixty cameras and five bedrooms. They do housechores together, and sometimes have an outing. The members are: Lee Dong Wook, Park Min Woo, Jo Se Ho, After School's Nana, Seo Kang Jun, GOT7's Jackson, Bae Jong Ok, SNSD's Sunny, Kara's Youngji, Lee Guk Ju, Otani Ryohei, and G.O.D leader's Park Joon Hyung. The first five members are from season one while the rest are new members. In the picture above, it portrays their own roommate in the house: Ryohei-Joon Hyung, Youngji-Gukju-Nana, Dongwook-Seho-Minwoo, Sunny-JongOk, and Jackson-Kangjoon. I find it's refreshing but occasionally it's just boring. Because mostly they stay in the house doing something and sometimes they invite guests. At first it was interesting but if you have the same activities like in most of the episodes, for sure you'll get bored. I like Jackson and Youngji's interaction; they bicker a lot since they are at the same age. Both of them got lots of recognition thanks to this show because GOT7 is still new in entertainment industry and Youngji is the new member of Kara which is why no many people knew her in the beginning. Besides both of them, Lee Guk Ju, Joon Hyung, and Lee Dong Wook are also funny. Lee Dong Wook complains a lot while Lee Guk Ju is funny in her own way; you need to watch this to know why she is really famous now. Park Joon Hyung's English accent is definitely one of the main point in this show; he's 47 yo but still acts like a teenager it's cool man. You can also see an episode where the casts went to G.O.D's 15th anniversary concert. It's very touching because I know how it feels to be in a fandom, a mature fandom. I really envy G.O.D; they are not disbanded but still in a very good relationship even after 15 years. The fans are also very loyal to them although I know some of them perhaps are shipping other artists now. It made me cried a bit when I saw an episode where he invited the fans to come to their old dorm through his instagram without mentioning the address and within one hour there's like 100++ fans in front of the dorm. He even cried because he's touched so many fans still remembered and come. As for Jo Se Ho, he's annoying really Im sorry. He's a comedian, but I cant laugh every time he makes fun of something. Bae Jong Ok, Sunny, and Ryohei are just so so; they are not funny but also not annoying. I recommend this show only the parts of Jackson, Youngji, Lee Dong Wook, Lee Guk Ju, and Park Joon Hyung.

Legal!

Yes, I am. 21 years of my life has been really great; I have an awesome family and a few groups of bestfriends who understand me well. It's almost been 3 years since I left my hometown for study, but Im glad that I still keep in contact with my friends (cant mention all of them here; you know who you are). My wish for this year is that I can graduate next year, continue my medstud life as a coass, keep in contact with my friends, and some other wishes that I dont want to mention here. I hope I still can update about TVXQ and spazz dramas in the future because that's my box of happiness and I dont want to leave it. Anyway, thanks to everybody who remembered my birthday even though I didnt put it on my facebook!^^ Im always grateful that I have all of you. Happy birthday to myself! #nomoreshame #whatisshame

1st April.

It's already 1st of April. Time indeed flies so fast. It's also getting closer to my birthday. Lots of things are happening lately; Jaejoong enlisted yesterday and Junsu sang Love In The Ice in his concert. If you're not a fan of a group, you might find this ridiculous lol But honestly I still feel a bit strange till today, probably because I've keeping updates of the boys for almost 8 years and this is also the first time for us to be separated from Jaejoong. Especially he's the one updating sns the most and that simple things make us happy. He will finish his military service on 31 December 2016 so let's meet that day! Now Im also on my third year, didnt realise that in less than a year I'll be having clinical rotation. Honestly Im not ready; it feels like Im still lacking lots of things and needs to study more. But the other part of me wants to graduate faster. Still have a long way to go, I should just enjoy everything and medical + Tohoshinki always cure me the best.

Random blabbering.

I wish we had the power to stop the time. But if that's possible, then we would live in 1000000 BC and not in 21st century haha. Im having 4 days holiday after finishing my final exam last Wednesday. Having holiday is always the best, no matter how short or long it is. Currently Im not in the mood of watching Korean dramas perhaps because none of them suits my preference. The last one I watched was Healer and I really love it. I've put The Girl Who Sees Smells on my list because it starts Yoochun (you know why) even I quite dislike his costar Shin Sekyung but let's try the first few episodes until we decide everything. Tohoshinki is also having their 10 years dome tour in Japan right now; how I wish I was there. I've persuaded my mom to allow me to watch them live in Japan but because I've watched JYJ in Hongkong last year, you know it failed on my first try. Im blabbering random things today; finally after a long time I feel like writing again. And next cdrama on my list is Cruel Romance by Chen Qiao En and Huang Xiao Ming. Just hope Im in the mood of watching drama again. Annyeong!

Movie review: Love Forecast

This movie is up on my list after I saw they casted Lee Seung Gi and Moon Chae Won as the main lead. Both of them have been one of my favorite OTP ever since they were paired in Brilliant Legacy. At first the title was Today's Love and as you know, Korean movie/drama often has lots of names until they fix it to the final one. Love Forecast was released around January 2015 so it's still kinda difficult if you want to find the eng sub version. Lee Seung Gi is Kang Junsu, an ordinary elementary school teacher who has been dumped lots of times by his girlfriends. Moon Chae Won as Kim Hyun Woo, a pretty and popular weather reporter who has been his bestfriend for 18 years. Junsu has always been around her, helping her when she was drunk or taking car of her household cores. Even his family considers her as their family member. In the other side, Hyun Woo dates her producer, acted by Lee Seo Jin, who is actually a married man. Im pretty confuse at first; in the movie they didnt state he has married but in the middle suddenly there's a scandal saying Hyun Woo entered a hotel with a married man. Actually Junsu has fallen in love with Hyun Woo since 18 years ago and he has confessed to her before but she said she didnt feel any vibe when she hugged him. So basically this is a movie with the concept two bestfriends dont realise that they are actually each other's soulmate and you can even guess how the ending will be. To be honest the story is very very ordinary; even I find it similar to a Taiwanese drama named In Time With You (I will review it when I have time) and I should say the Taiwanese version is muchhhhh better. Junsu is portrayed as her daddy long legs but I feel he didnt give his best performance. Many people anticipated this movie because it's the first movie for Lee Seung Gi and he acted with Moon Chae Won. I've read some reviews and most of them say this movie is rather flat and I have to agree with them. They tried to make jokes in some parts but it didnt pull out well. The progress of the story is also a bit weird; at the beginning mostly they tell about Hyun Woo dating his producer and in the middle suddenly she and Junsu agree to date each other but never state themselves as couple. If the main couple isnt them, I dont think I will watch the movie. The poster and teaser are actually very interesting but too bad they fail in the execution. But perhaps you can give it a try. Maybe we have different taste ㅋ
PS: In Time With You is VERY recommended. Starring Chen Bo Lin as Li Da Ren and Ariel Lin as Cheng You Qing.

Synopsis:
Weather reporter Kim Hyun-woo (Moon Chae-won) is known for her beauty and elegance on television, but off-screen, she drinks and swears a lot. Hyun-woo has been friends for 18 years with Kang Joon-soo (Lee Seung-gi), a mild-mannered elementary school teacher who gives too much of himself in his relationships but always ends up getting dumped. Joon-soo has secretly loved Hyun-woo for years, but she claims she doesn't feel any sexual attraction between them, and he's had to stand by and watch while she fawns over married colleague Dong-jin (Lee Seo-jin) and goes on a blind date with nice but boring photographer Andrew (Jung Joon-young).
